First Visit

Your first visit at Yorkville Village Dental will start with an introduction to Dr. Azmy and his team.  From there, Dr. Azmy will perform a comprehensive oral evaluation, which includes:

• A review of current and past medical history. This will include a discussion of any conditions or factors that would prevent certain dental treatments
• Extraoral and intraoral soft tissue exam
• Head and Neck Cancer screening
• Tempo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) assessment
• Bite analysis and registration
• An odontogenic exam, to evaluate each tooth for cavities and status of existing restorations
• Periodontal evaluations to check gum health
• Radiographs, or a series of x-rays customized to the individual patient’s needs
• Intraoral photos

This way we can get the best view of your oral health before starting a preventative or treatment plan. Dr. Azmy will then review the clinical and radiographical findings from the appointment, and will formulate multiple treatment plans.

On your next visit, Dr. Azmy will discuss the findings of these examinations with you and will present any and all treatment plans
